Why go arh and wanna deez, John go tend to his hiva beez, why arh, why arh, kickstart why arh.

And with those indecipherable lyrics, as sung by the christmas ham himself Vince Neil, the MMC boys, along with friend and returning guest from way back when - Richard Kuhn - look at the forever touted Motley Crue biopic - The Dirt.

For those of you who have read the book, you would know it is basically the Naked lunch of Rock biographies i.e it is un-filmable. So, how did Netflix and their team fair up? Well you'll have to listen to find out.

This is one of our longer episodes we have done in a while, there is a lot of 80's hair metal tangents interspersed in here also.

It's like an Alan J. Pakula thriller with ninjas. Speaking of ninjas, no one will admit they exist. They're like the Freemasons or something!

An Interview with James LaFond

 

Whats up troops? We're finally back with a new episode, and this one is a ripper of a show. For this one, we are joined by author and boxing aficionado James LaFond.

We discuss his books, his career, a lot of boxing, but overall we just shoot the breeze, and James is a great guy also.

We reckon you'll have fun with this one, if you wanna complain about this episode not being long enough, don't blame us, blame Stu's electrician (listen on, it'll make sense).

Ronnie Coleman: The King

Yeah buddy! the MMC crew are back, and digging into the world of Bodybuilding once again. Hunter is on board for his first ever MMC Bodybuilding episode. This time we look at the documentary, on one of the greatest, and some would say controversial, bodybuilders of all time - Ronnie Coleman.

What shrouds this man in controversy you ask? Well, he was one of the pioneers, of the 'Mass Monster' phase that was ushered into Bodybuilding in the mid to late 90's, he was certainly the most successful one.

However, as years have gone by, and with Coleman in retirement, his insane training regiment, has finally taken it's toll. Numerous back surgeries have left Coleman nigh on crippled at the moment.

Give this a listen, then give it a watch. A fascinating documentary, on a guy who had it all and throughout managed to keep his humility, unfortunately, he couldn't keep his mobility.

The Outlaw Josey Wales

 

This week, the MMC takes a look at a long overdue episode, Clint Eastwood's "The Outlaw Josey Wales". Of course, you can't talk about Josey without mentioning the strange tale of the source novel's author, Forrest Carter, who was actually Asa Earl Carter, a speechwriter for George Wallace. We also go into the film's troubled production history, covering the firing of original director Philip Kaufman, and how Clint's longtime flame Sondra Locke figures into it. Go listen! And remember, dyin' ain't much of a livin', boy.

Hey friends, we're back with a new episode this week, and well, it's an odd one. This week, Hunter, John and Stu (if it really is Stu and not a double) look at the Joel Gilbert mockumentary - Paul McCartney Really is Dead: The Last Testament of George Harrison.

So, for those of you who have heard the conspiracy theory that Paul McCartney died back in 1966, and was replaced by a double, give this a whirl, you will most definitely have some fun with it. For those of you who have never heard the tale, again, give it a whirl - and don't believe a word. The filmmakers are clearly just having some fun with this, and so should you.

The Karate Kid

The first, and really the only good Karate Kid film gets put under the microscope, and we look at what works, and what doesn't about this film.

Snake in the Eagle's Shadow

 

John and Hunter return to the world of Jackie Chan to look at the film that made Jackie a star, "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow". We discuss how Chan's early vehicles were different from his later films, as well as why "Drunken Master" is so overrated.

The Lawnmower killers' back and I'm gonna get him!! Hey gang, we're back, finally, with a new episode, only Hunter and John are not this week, so to help Stu out on this one, his brother Jules returns, to discuss a film they have lived with since 1983 - WACKO.

Never heard of it? well, it does have a cult following, but for those of you unfamiliar with it, sit back, and let Stu and Jules wax lyrical on it.

They also get into discussion on THAT Roadshow catalogue from 1983, and the impact it had on them. Confused yet? It will all make sense, listen on and find out.

P.S - Just two side notes, on the episode, Stu mentions the film as being from 1981, well, this film has a varied release history. IMDB says 1982, however filmmaker Greydon Clark has it on his website as 1983. So who really knows? We gotta go with Greydon on this one.

Also, there is talk throughout of Stu trying to find a soundtrack to this film for the last near on 20 years. At the point of time we recorded this, it was still unfound... that is until later that night after Jules and I had parted company, stone me, if Stu found it on a blog out on the net. Tex and the Lord of the Deep

 

It's two spaghetti westerns in a row, as John and Hunter scrutinize Duccio Tessari's adaptation of the Italian comic book character, Tex Willer. This one has a lot going for it, a great director, a great star with the amazing Guiliano Gemma, and a genre we love. How could they possibly screw this up? Well, listen and find out.

 

Massacre Time

 

Rock Month is over, so it's back to movies! John and Hunter sit down with Eric Zaldivar to discuss Lucio Fulci's spaghetti western "Massacre Time" (aka "The Brute and The Beast"), starring Franco Nero. There are many diversions along the way, as well as revelations, including a possible missing link between the spaghetti western and the Hong Kong heroic bloodshed movies of John Woo. Rock Month: Motorhead

 

And so it is, that we wind up Rock Month 2018, but what a band to finish with. Friends, this week,  we bring you, the one, the only - MOTORHEAD.

On this episode we look at 7 Motorhead albums in particular, but also talk all the other albums in their discography briefly too. 

It all makes up for one hell of a show, so sit back, get your Jack Daniels, perch yourself at your beloved Ms. Pac-Man machine and listen on.

Greetings friends, we are back this week, in search of the perfect cup of coffee, and also week 3 of Rock Month. This time, it's Hunter's pick, and he has gone for Canadian artist, and man of many varied styles - Devin Townsend.

This may be the most interesting Rock Month episode ever, as Townsends music can be polarizing, and his sound, as you will find out, isn't for everybody.

Rock Month: Silverhead

 

Here we are friends, back with week 2 of Rock Month, and what would usually be Hunter's pick (that will be next week) we are actually going with John's this time around. So what obscurity has he pulled out for this year? A band I dare say you (along with Hunter and Stu) have never heard of - Silverhead.

With a discography only spanning two albums (hence the shorter than usual running time for a Rock Month episode) we look at the the band, and it's frontman Michael Des Barres.

Eh Up! Ok gang, well it is that time of the year, Rock Month is here!! To start off the month, we head up to the North of England, to Macclesfield to be precise, and focus on (what some folks call) the most offensive band ever to come out of Great Britain - The Macc Lads.
